Dr. Fiaz Hussain is a passionate individual who champions the internationalization strategy in higher education institutions. He obtained his Ph.D. from Brunel University in London in Computer Graphics, and has taken on different roles since. He filled roles from being an External Examiner for multiple institutions, Computer Science and Multimedia Specialist, to becoming the Associate Dean of Cardiff Metropolitan University. He is also a Senior Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy. He has published 3 technical books related to his profession as well as possessing over 60 refereed research
papers.
The expertise of multimedia design and computing is a particular professional interest that Dr. Hussain constantly uses to raise the standards of the institutions he is involved with. He uses digitization tools to ultimately transform the traditional and cultural aspects that were once forgotten to being relevant and vibrant in the modern age. For example, he used calligraphy to represent and promote the international culture and design in institutions. He digitized traditional museum environments, collections and artifacts for convenient universal access. He demonstrated how impactful the role of architectural design in various cultures throughout history
